BeeSports Management was part of an International organisation with a large IT department in Texas, USA. After a management buyout BeeSports had to adapt to the limited budget of a small business. BeeSports provide management systems through software development to key sports organisations in the UK and therefore have a high level of computer literacy compared to many small businesses; they still relied on an internal IT administrator for day-to-day maintenance and problem solving needs.

BeeSports felt that the IT administrator was an expensive resource that could not cope with multiple simultaneous problems.
